Token Holder Pool - Tier-Based (LOSER POOL)
under review
Arthur Zablocki
As the number of POLS token holders increases, I am seeing more and more members complaining that they have not been selected for projects.
It's understandable for the members with smaller token allocations, but when you see messages from 10,000+ POLS members who have not been selected for 5 projects in a row, it feels like something big is missing.
PROPOSAL:
Tier-based Token Holder Pool (Loser Pool) for those members who have not been selected for the main sale (they applied, but not been selected - important)
Allocation Percentage: 10% of the total raise.
The Pool would go LIVE 1 hour after the main sale.
Access would be activated in stages (based on your wallet address)
Let's say the start time is 15:00 UTC.
15:00 - 15:05: 10,000+ POLS Members Only
15:05 - 15:10: 3,000+ POLS Members Only
15:10 - 15:30: 250+ POLS Members
This way, we ensure that those loyal token holders are still able to benefit from the projects introduced here.
This is especially important because Polkastarter offers a limited number of projects per month (typically, around 4-6).

We're considering an updated tokenomics which I believe I have mentioned in some comments here and there, and we will have new information in the new year. Long story short: expect more people to get into IDOs, but with different "pools". More soon!

Robin Ebers (Chief Strategy): one quick short term patch would be to increase the amount that projects are looking to raise. This would "buy the team" some time in order to introduce a more permanent solution.

Arthur Zablocki: We've started pushing for quite high raises. Humans is $1.17M and Galaxy Fight Club is $2M. Getting there!

Robin Ebers (Chief Strategy): I was just looking at it. Considering the size of your community now, it makes sense. I am seeing a lot of those "little raises" $75-150K that leave too many people out.

Arthur Zablocki: Hey! We don't actually do IDOs in that range. The vast majority of the fundraises on Polkastarter are somewhere between $200-500k. Very rarely do we do sales for $150k or less.

Robin Ebers (Chief Strategy): Hi Rob! Galaxy Fight Club says max allocation per person is 500dollars, meaning there could be about 4000 participants. Thats 4 times more than usual. I like the idea with more people getting in, but isnt 4 times a little too much at this point? I mean, to avoid heavy price dump after IDO there need to be vesting much more rigoristic than we already experienced in other IDOs. Thats something I dont like, especially taking into consideration phase of the bull cycle we are currently in
